week 8 - Analogical Thinking // Wednesday, 1 October 2014

Have you ever wondered why some structures,

things or even building seems to be smiling.

If you want to put it in a scientific way,

its a symptom called Pareidolia.

It means its a psychological phenomenon

involving a stimulus often an image or

sound being interpreted with a meaning.

E.g. Seeing faces or animals in the cloud.

However to put it in my own way,

I think it's just the use of

IMAGINATION.

I think in life, we just need more imagination

when it comes to the way we view things

 or think about things.

Then only will we be able to

Think out of the box

So here are some of the images

that i gathered, which I feel look like

they have emotions with just a little

 bit of

imagination.

Does this basin actually look like it's in shock?

Because it definitely does to me.

What about the washing machine?

To me It looks like a washing machine

with a silly face As the red shirt

was half hanging out of the washing machine.

And here are the textures on a piece of wood

which seems to have the features of a bear.

This definietely look like the world's happiest plane!

I personally find this very funny!

It look like the door is actually the mouth

of the wall.

Does this look like a chicken to you?

smiling pots.

Happy to be used for cooking maybe?

I see a Skull in the middle of the flower,

I find that it's kind of appropriate since

the flower is wilting which also means death.

And skulls are often used as representatives

 of death or darkness.

Does the car seat belt actually look like

 it's sticking it's tongue out?

I definitely thought so!

Angry/depressed looking alarm clock.

True enough, we as humans

don't like alarm clock either

since it just means we can't stay in bed longer.

Maybe this alarm clock just got

tired of people hitting it's head?
